Genetically Modified Foods: Are we playing God?
Genetically Modified Foods: Are we playing God?
By Bryan Farnum, Scientific Intuitive

Many of us are unknowingly consuming GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) foods. They can be found in many grocery stores, restaurant food, packaged foods, and in certain health food products; and much more. GMO foods are possibly the biggest health environmental risk to mankind; there is no greater risk today. Over a period of time, they may trigger an increase in organ failures, causing people to search the world for organ donations or stem cell transplants.

Less than 1 percent of the total Canadian population truly understands GMO foods, including scientists. The solution is simple; when crops are high in nutrients, insects will not attack the plants. However in the last few decades, many farmers have destroyed the nutritional value of their soil with herbicides and pesticides. Farmers have an ethical responsibility to protect the health and welfare of the general population, just as retailers, scientists, governments and all of us do.

The governments of the world have not been presented with the full scientific understanding of the true risk of GMO foods, simply because these truths are unknown at this time. Very few scientists understand fully how GMO foods chemically react in the human body over time. Current technology for GMO foods has a 20 percent error margin, which may be the cause of so much trouble.

There are over 40 different species of GMO foods. Many GMO foods have separate harmful key chemical markers that may bring different diseases into one's body. The amount of these chemicals can range anywhere from one to six harmful chemicals depending on the type of GMO food. Overexposure to GMO foods may potentially trigger the shutdown of certain stem cells, which then may trigger infertility, colon cancer, bone disorders, leukemia, heart disease, stomach cancer, premature aging, mental disorders, liver disease, and breast cancer and other disease states not mentioned herein.

This is why all GMO food approval processes must be subject to tougher guidelines. GMO ingredients need to be labeled on all consumer products, and fall under the same scrutiny as pharmaceutical drugs. I pray that all consumer food, goods and services, even restaurants will clearly and honestly identify GMO ingredients— no matter how little is in the food product. Scientists must do their part developing correct formulas to accurately test harmful GMO chemicals through one's saliva and all harmful GMO toxins through one's urine; they must be more accountable and responsible for the possible harm of these foods to the general population.

We must be given a choice whether or not we want to eat GMO. Treat your body like a temple and use discretion when buying GMO foods. We must all come together as one voice to protect the future of our children.
