There is no greater health risk at this time than Genetically Modified Foods. They may pose the biggest health hazard yet to mankind. Everyday, many of us unknowingly consume foods that contain GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). They can be found in much of the food we eat; they can be found in many grocery stores, restaurant food, packaged foods, and in certain health food products and much more.
Why are GMO foods so prevalent? Genetically modified foods are being driven mostly by commercial greed. The commercial interests behind GMO foods are not protecting the well being of mankind. Our government and others worldwide have approved GMO foods mostly on the merit of economic interest and not in the interest of our people, our children, our parents and grandparents, or even our pets. GMO foods have not faced the appropriate government approval process, which should place the safety of its citizens first.
The solution is simple; when crops are high in nutrients, insects will not attack the plants. However in the last few decades, many farmers have destroyed the nutritional value of their soil with herbicides and pesticides. Farmers have an ethical responsibility to protect the health and welfare of the general population, just as retailers, scientists, governments and all of us do.
Unfortunately, even our scientists have a very inadequate understanding of how GMO foods react in the human body. Still, the governments of the world are approving these very harmful foods for human consumption. Although collectively we understand less than 15 percent of how the human body is chemically put together, scientists choose to take on the role of God without having any accountability and responsibility to the people whom they may harm.
The current technology for most GMO foods creates food that is chemically out of balance and not safe for human consumption. The chemical make-up of current GMO foods may trigger eventual shutdown of stem cells, and certain neurotransmitters receptors, creating an imbalance of interleukin (Hormones) in one’s body and much more.
There are separate chemical markers in food we can use to identify the presence of genetically modified organisms. These chemical markers have the potential to trigger different disease states. As people become sick from harmful GMO chemical markers, they may require transplants and organ donations, creating a worldwide demand for organs and forcing governments to consider actions against God’s will like human cloning.
So what can be done about GMO foods? In my next article I will explain the tests that are needed to expose these foods. I will also explain the biggest danger yet that genetically modified foods may pose to mankind—what happens when man plays God. Until next time, do no harm to others and give generously to the poor.
